Designed by Rui Alves

Portuguese designer Rui Alves was inspired to create The Tailor Sofa by the memory of his grandfather’s favourite tailor shop. An image of the tailors bent over work tables and of old wooden hangers holding grey suits has stayed with Rui. Like that tailor shop, he has designed the Tailor Sofa to be authentic, with everything on display: “I wanted to show all of it, the structure, the beautiful oak wood. Nothing should be hidden, as is normally done in sofa design. The sofa is meant to be seen from all sides.”.

It is especially beautiful from behind. The sofa has a light and airy appearance, the structured upholstered part supported by the wooden frame for a comfortable and practical sofa for everyday use. The frame is made of oak wood and holds a foam shell covered upholstery.

The detail in the wood and the upholstery give the sofa a handmade look and all the wood joints are carefully designed to follow the round shape of the sofa.

6.        Is my order successful?


You will receive an Order Confirmation Email shortly after placing an order successfully. If you do not receive this email, please contact us at contact@houseforgoodies.com

7.     Can I change my order information after submission?

If you would like to make any change to an order you have placed, please contact us as soon as possible at contact@houseforgoodies.com , with your Order Confirmation Email.

Please note that once your order status has changed to “SHIPPED”, we will not be able to change your order.

Your order will be shipped as soon as possible, subject to stock availability and quality checks.

We offer flexible delivery method, depending the cases. Here are the common option for delivery.

Home Accessories | by SF Express (Self Pick up at stations) / Hong Kong Post Registered Mail

* Please note the door to door delivery service for furniture & Lighting does not include stair climbing. It is involves extra charges for stair climbing. Please state in the delivery address.

11.    How long will my order take to arrive?

Here is the list of delivery time for different area zones and by different couriers :

* Remote or outlying areas may take longer 

* Your order may be delayed due to factors outside of our control (customs clearance procedures, long holidays, extreme weather.)

12.    Can I pick up in store?



Sure.  For added convenience and flexibility, you can order online and collect your purchase personally, or send a representative. Please let us know when and where you would like to pick up your items at least two days in advance. We will send you a notification email once your order is confirmed.



You can also simply type COLLECT AT STORE on the Shipping page at Checkout.

To collect your order, simply visit our shop and present your order confirmation.

13.     Do I need to sign to receive my order?



Yes. All orders must be signed for at the time of delivery. In doing so, you accept the responsibility for the order from that moment on.



If the recipient is not the original purchaser, such as in the case of a gift delivery, then the recipient’s signature will be accepted by House for Goodies Limited as evidence of delivery and fulfillment of your order.

14.     Do I have to pay taxes and duties for International order? 



Import tax and duties may be applicable, depending on the destination country. You are responsible for all import tax and duties. 



The courier or your local post office will contact you with further details for customs clearance. Please note that customs clearance procedures may delay the delivery time. Please contact us for shipment details at contact@houseforgoodies.com 







15.    Can I return my item and get a refund? 



All orders are non-returnable and non-refundable. We will send out the in-stock items within 2 working days. As for per-order items, the order confirmation will directly send to our supplier overseas, which cannot be revised.

16.    What if I get a defective/incorrect item?

All items undergo comprehensive quality control and are checked for faults and damage before they are sent to customers. Should you receive an item that is not in perfect condition, we will be happy to replace your product at no cost. Please contact us at contact@houseforgoodies.com 
within 2 days of receipt, stating the problem and attach relevant photos if possible



Items shipped without our consent may be refused upon delivery.

17.    Will the warranty be included?
